Dictionaries are generally used when students have already came across a word and looking it up to check that they know how to use it .there are different types of dictionaries:Bilingual,Monolingual,Pocket,and so forth.
The first kind is usually used to translate words or phrases from one language to another.
each language is grouped alphabetically in separate halves of the book with taranslation into the other language.
Second,monolingual dictionary uses the same language for the words and their definitions.
Third, a pocket dictionary is a small potable dictionary designed to be carried around.
Conseguently they often have tough covers to withstand the perils of travelling.if we want to use dictinaries it will not be sufficient just to recommend a dictionary and tell how useful it is.the cheif reason is that students see how to use them and what the benefits of uses are
